Walking over 4 miles

Well, we walked today. Our intent was to take the train and catch a bus to the Japanese Ikea, and not walk too much today,but....
Very happy with the costs and so, we bought a computer table, swivel chair and a T.V. stand.
Got the items delivered and decided to walk home.
Stopped at the MacDonalds for lunch. How is it that the food tastes the same wherever in the world you are. Except when we went to throw away our trash, we had to recycle the straws and plastic lids from the rest of the paper trash.
Then, we continued walking home, stopping at the cell phone store because the salesperson called me to ask how our iPhones were and if we had any questions or problems. I had gotten some surveys in Japanese on my phone that she helped me fill out.
By the time we got home, we had walked 3.3 miles. The Director of our school met us and another teacher for dinner and we ate Italian pizza and spaghetti. We walked to school to meet him and walked home from the restaurant, another mile. It is muggy hot, so we are hot and sticky when we get home.
Got some great exercise today!

  1. Did McDonalds have any special Japanese additions? When we were in Wisconsin, they had bratwurst on the menu (no joke) and in border towns in Arizona, some Mexican options.
That's actually one thing I like about international McDonalds, the predictability!!
