Still the Same!

I posted these earlier but I thought I would post them again!

Ikebana

So, my new Culture Club I do with the students is Ikebana, flower arrangement.   It is so serene and informational,  I never knew Math was used for arranging flowers.  Flowers are arranged at 45 degrees and cut in thirds or halves of the center flower.  It has been a good change from my pottery club last year.  It is a quiet atmosphere and below is my latest arrangement that I leave at our school entrance.  The long flowers are part of the scallion family.  More to come....

Huh?

Okay, I just don't get this one. Our local electronics/appliance store that we go to has this signage on the outside of the building. I don't get what my JUST is!

Alex's Sinus Infection

Alex had a cold that turned into a sinus infection. In Japan, they sure have some interesting ways of treating illnesses.

Rachel's Last Race in Japan!

Right before we left we had our Sports Day and as we were leaving at the end, some of the teachers decided to have their own race. They asked Alex to join but his leg has been bothering him so Rachel volunteered to run. 

Sports Day

Today Alex had his Sports Day and this is one of the events where you throw bean bags into a basket. See if you can spot Alex. His team won!

Culture Day

At Alex's high school they had a culture festival and one of the performances was a cross-dressing contest. I think this tops the time he sang B-I-N-G-0 using arm farts at the Raney IB talent show. Sorry the video is so shaky.
